New Trends in Memorial Jewelry

At the ICCFA convention and expo this week, I saw some interesting trends in memorial jewelry. Some pieces incorporate cremated remains, some highlight fingerprints.

These bracelets below from Wilbert Memorialization Choices™ are sterling silver.  The decorative end caps can be personalized with birthstones, silver, or four pavé band settings. The ends unscrew and can hold cremated remains or a lock of hair in each side.

LifeGem®, which holds the patent for turning cremated remains into diamonds, is celebrating its 10th year in business. Below, Greg Herro and Dean VandenDiesen, vice president of operations, show one sample, along with the celebratory t-shirts they gave to expo attendees that say “The best your body will ever look.” It takes about eight ounces of cremated remains to make a gem stone. They can also make gems out of the carbon in a lock of hair.

Precious Memories™ offers keepsakes that can be personalized with fingerprints, baby footprints, even pet paw or nose prints. Below are samples of 14kt yellow or white gold and sterling silver pendants in different styles. They also make rings. The small funnel for putting cremated remains into a small locket is on the right. All jewelry is crafted in the USA.
