Folks in the Denver metro area, mark your calendars to attend Laughing and Learning: A Practical End-of-Life Workshop.
This upbeat three-hour workshop will give you the tools and the inspiration to take practical steps for outlining your funeral plans/memorial celebration, drafting your own obituary and/or famous last words, and preparing advance medical directives.
Presenter Gail Rubin, CT, is a death educator who uses funny film clips to reduce resistance to end-of-life planning and illustrate what you need to know before you go. She’s the author of A Good Goodbye: Funeral Planning for Those Who Don’t Plan to Die and Hail and Farewell: Cremation Ceremonies, Templates and Tips.
The event, sponsored by Heflebower Funeral & Cremation Services and Seven Stones, a new botanical gardens cemetery in Littleton, takes place on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Recreation Center at Eastridge (Telluride Room), 9568 University Blvd., Highlands Ranch, Colorado 80126.
The workshop fee of $10 provides take-home materials – a 10-page personal planning form and The Five Wishes advance medical directives form – and refreshments.
For more information and to RSVP by March 9, contact Mike Heflebower at 720-344-6087.
