Learn how to ask questions and be involved in treatment decisions by watching dramatic and comedy films depicting doctor-patient conversations. Also, watch examples of patient-family interactions for tips on improving family communications around serious diagnoses, particularly end-of-life situations and cancer diagnoses.
Osher Lifelong Learning at UNM Continuing Education hosts Gail Rubin presenting “Doctor, How Long Do I Have?” The class will take place on Tuesday, March 10, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Film clips will include scenes from The Descendants, The End, Wit, The Shootist, 50/50, Patch Adams and Breaking Bad. Not to worry, it’s all legal! Gail Rubin has a license to use film clips in her talks.
