If you have Comcast cable TV in Albuquerque, the full series airing of the award-winning television show A Good Goodbye: Funeral Planning for Those Who Don’t Plan to Die starts this Thursday, July 3 and runs for 14 weeks.

The program will air on Channel 27 twice weekly: Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. and Sundays at 5:30 p.m.

A Good Goodbye: Funeral Planning for Those Who Don’t Plan to Die presents an educational and entertaining series of 25-minute programs. This award-winning show features expert interviews on “everything you need to know before you go.”

Each episode provides valuable insights into funeral planning issues. From pre-need planning to grief counseling, financial issues to the latest trends in death care, these interviews offer eye-opening insights into the party no one wants to plan.

A Good Goodbye TV won national recognition by the National Federation of Press Women (NFPW) in their 2014 Communications Contest. The program took second place in the Television Talk Show category, after winning first place in the New Mexico Press Women Communications Contest and qualifying for the national competition.

Episodes 13 and 14 feature a discussion about facing one’s own mortality. Brother Arturo Olivas faced Stage 4 lung cancer and with the help of an experimental chemotherapy treatment outlived the doctors’ original prognosis. He discussed his own funeral planning and his perspectives on life and death. He is an artist and a Franciscan brother.
