Here are two Non Sequitur cartoons about cemeteries and the afterlife for a little humor today.
A small crowd is gathered at a graveside service. The headstone over the open grave reads, “Failure isn’t an option.” The wife volunteers, “It was either that or his other favorite saying, ‘Plan B’s are for weenies’.”
There is no plan B for death. You’ll succeed at dying whatever you do. When you’re dead, failure doesn’t matter. If you charge ahead with no Plan B, and failure isn’t an option, at least you’ll go out in a self-perceived blaze of glory.
The Final Audit cartoon shows a lawyer, CPA or some other type of professional standing before St. Peter in the clouds. St. Peter says, “Yeah, it’s true… You can’t take it with you. The accounting of your billable hours, however…” He’s looking at a very long scroll.
How are you spending your billable hours each day? Will your activities count toward a heavenly reward or a one-way ticket to hell? Make each day count for good.
