Tuesday February 19 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm – Everything you wanted to know about cremation and life planning but were afraid to ask!

Certified Celebrant Gail Rubin, author of A Good Goodbye: Funeral Planning for Those Who Don’t Plan to Die, teams with Merri Rudd, former probate judge and author of Life Planning in New Mexico and the state’s self-authorization cremation law. This year is the 20th anniversary of that law.

Watch funny and serious film clips related to cremation, ask questions, laugh and learn! Only $7 to participate.

Everybody Dies: Lessons from Six Feet Under

March 4, 11 and 18, 10:00 am to noon ($35 for three sessions) An expanded exploration of the award-winning HBO television series Six Feet Under and the lessons we learn going behind the scenes at the Fisher and Sons Funeral Home.

Class One (March 4): “Funeral Planning for Those Who Don’t Plan to Die” starts with a screening of the pilot episode of Six Feet Under where we are introduced to all of the characters.

Class Two (March 11): “Buying the Farm” focuses on funeral arrangement conferences from Six Feet Under to illuminate important consumer issues.

Class Three (March 18): “Everybody Dies” looks at different grief responses in the Fisher family characters of Six Feet Under. Film clip viewings will alternate with Q&A and class discussion.
