Radio Interview Show A Good Goodbye: Funeral Planning for Those Who Don’t Plan to Die Debuts on the RockStar Radio Network
“Talking about sex won’t make you pregnant; talking about funerals won’t make you dead.”
Albuquerque, NM (April 9, 2013) — A Good Goodbye: Funeral Planning for Those Who Don’t Plan to Die, an entertaining and educational weekly 60-minute online radio show, debuts Wednesday, May 1, 2013 on the RockStar Radio Network on TogiNet Talk Radio. The program, presented live on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. CT / 4:00 p.m. MT / 3:00 p.m. PT, will also be available in podcast form.
Host Gail Rubin brings a light touch to a serious subject and presents expert interviews on “everything you need to know before you go.” The Internet radio program will cover a wide range of critical information most people don’t consider until there’s a death in the family.
A Good Goodbye’s first program will start the conversation on the topic of how to discuss end-of-life wishes with loved ones. The guest on May 1 will be Martha Hayward, who leads public and patient engagement with The Conversation Project and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
Rubin authored an award-winning book and hosts an upcoming television/DVD series, also called A Good Goodbye: Funeral Planning for Those Who Don’t Plan to Die. The book, TV program and radio interviews offer practical insights into the party no one wants to plan.
By planning ahead and having a conversation, families can reduce stress at a time of grief, minimize family conflict, save money and create a meaningful, memorable “good goodbye.” Topics include funeral planning, cremation, cemeteries, green burial and eco-friendly funerals, life celebrations, pet loss, insurance, estate planning, cost management options, end-of-life issues and much more.
“Allowing audiences to listen in on conversations about death and funeral planning issues empowers individuals to discuss these topics with their families and take action,” explained Rubin, The Doyenne of Death® and a Certified Funeral Celebrant. “Each interview will illustrate my motto: Talking about sex won’t make you pregnant, and talking about funerals won’t make you dead.”
Each 60-minute online radio program has five 60-second sponsorship opportunities, including website links from a highly trafficked website and enduring podcasts. All episodes are archived and available in perpetuity as downloadable podcasts from iTunes and TogiNet Talk Radio.
A Good Goodbye offers funeral and memorial service-related businesses, as well as senior care providers, estate attorneys and financial planners, a targeted way to reach engaged baby boomer consumers.
