A Good Goodbye values your privacy and is dedicated to protecting your personal information and providing you with notice about what personally identifiable information we collect and how it is used, what choices you have regarding the collection, use and distribution of that information, the security procedures we implement to protect that information and what access you may have to correct any inaccuracies in the information we have collected from you.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Our site’s registration forms require users to give us contact information such as their name, email address, city, state and zip code. We use customer contact information from the registration form to send the user digital products and other information about our company’s products and services. The customer’s contact information is also used to contact the site visitor when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below.

We will not give or sell your personal information. A Good Goodbye, LCC, may send emails to subscribers on behalf of sponsors of Gail Rubin’s work.

This site contains links to other sites. A Good Goodbye, LLC, Gail Rubin, Light Tree Press, LLC, and G/R/P/R is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.

Our site uses an order form for customers to request information, products, and services. We collect the customer’s contact information and financial information on a secure server online shopping cart. Contact information from the order form is used to send orders and information about our company to our customers. The customer’s contact information is also used to get in touch with them when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the user for products and services. It is never divulged to any outside party.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

Contact forms on AGoodGoodbye.com may collect the visitor’s name, email address, city, state, zip code, and country. Contacts are retained indefinitely in a secure third party email management system unless the visitor opts out of emails from AGoodGoodbye.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Analytics

AGoodGoodbye.com uses the Jetpack plug-in to track traffic to the website. The plug-in shows daily visitors to the site, what pages and posts are viewed, referring links and sources where traffic comes from, links where visitors go to from our site, and search terms. It does not collect personal data.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

The data for purchases, free information downloads, and event registrations are retained indefinitely.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data

A Good Goodbye takes precautions to ensure that user account information is kept private. We use commercially reasonable measures to protect user information that is stored within our database. However, we do not guarantee that these efforts will completely protect user account information. We will endeavor to notify users in the event that the security of their personal information is breached or compromised. By submitting personal information through AGoodGoodbye.com, you expressly consent to receiving our notification regarding any breach or compromise, or suspected breach or compromise, of the security of your personal information, by email or postal mail, as we deem appropriate and as required by law.

Service Providers

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service (“Service Providers”), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. One of those service providers is the Youtube API Client.

API Client and User Privacy

Prior to viewing any videos on this site, visitors will be prompted to agree to the conditions laid out within the API Client Privacy Policy. The API Client uses YouTube API Services, the details of which are laid out within the “Google Privacy Policy”. Prior to viewing any video on this site, you will be asked to agree  to YouTube Terms of Service.  We strongly suggest reading those documents prior to agreeing to be bound by them.

The API Client captures and records the following information-

  • Average daily views in a month
  • Average video duration
  • Number of subscribers gained or lost
  • Average number of new subscribers in a month
  • Total views in a group of videos/channels
  • Top viewed videos/channels sorted by views, likes/dislikes, subscribers
  • Graphs visualizing raw metrics, e.g: increase in views, subscribers, likes/dislikes

We do not record or save any personally identifying information, but Google/Youtube might. It is important that you regularly check in with“Google Privacy Policy” to ensure that you are not giving them m0re data than you might feel comfortable with them having.
